Make it stand out

Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.

Our exhibition seeks to revisit and dismantle grand narratives within contemporary society, as well as to challenge entrenched essentialist frameworks. Retain his reasonably legitimate modernity but contemplate its contemporary falsity and change. The essentialist interpretation of any subject is in some sense ‘legitimate’, but when you look close enough or remove the veil, you find it empty or transformed.

I interpret the first part of the work of deconstructive essentialism as meaning that in the past it had a stable existence based on a field of existence, but when one changes the way of looking at it and the angle of view, it becomes unstable in another field. For example, 'home' is synonymous with safety and warmth most of the time but place it under the concepts of war and trauma and it becomes a place of danger and fear.

The second part is that a certain essentialist concept is itself vulnerable in contemporary times; it is deconstructed and annihilated in the postmodern context. Whether 'sex or gender ' may no longer exist in contemporary society. Through the reflection and deconstruction of these discourses, we aim to unveil and untangle how the contemporary “human” is constructed and utilised by society.
